Metaphors of Forcefulness

July 13, 2025 - less than a minute read

What is love?
Is it something that comes from above?
Angels from heaven
Crank up feelings to eleven
I’ll tell you, I should know
I held a girl’s hand once and that goes to show

I am a good guy and my feelings matter
So that’s why I’m left like forgotten batter
Liquid and formless
What’s left is enormous

Needles in the heart like afghanistan
Words left like cracks in the dam
But she didn’t realize that cracks make holes make liquid rush down
Water rushes out into the town
Doesn’t care If I drown
Worthless, helpless,
Adjectives of hurtfulness

I have some metaphors of forcefulness alright
Cause I’m like a kite
All cute and right
Of Course I could Gripe
That’s what makes you know I feel choked tight
But what I figure is that a cut kite
Doesn’t get stuck in a tree
Afterall no one will ever see

Over the horizon, I’ll feel at ease
Floating free up in the breeze
Cause as a speaker that’s where I feel I’d be
So cut the string, I did it first
This batter can fly, so give me your worst
